- Our Country Code on our Wireless Controller ( 5520) and on our AP is currently set to GB ( we are based in the UK and our maximum power output allowed on indoor 5.0 GHz frequency radios is 200Mw and on 2.4 GHz radios is 100Mw)
- We have an AP group set up with an RF profile ( let's call it "RF Profile A " ) assigned to the AP group and we have a C9115AXE-E AP assigned to that group
-The data sheet of the access point states that the maximum power available is 23Dbm , however when I look at the ap config, I am seeing only 7 supported power levels on the output and i can see on the output of the command that the number 1 power level, which is the maximum is set to 18Dbm, automatically ?
Tx Power
Num Of Supported Power Levels ............. 7
Tx Power Level 1 .......................... 18 dBm
Tx Power Level 2 .......................... 15 dBm
Tx Power Level 3 .......................... 12 dBm
Tx Power Level 4 .......................... 9 dBm
Tx Power Level 5 .......................... 6 dBm
Tx Power Level 6 .......................... 3 dBm
Tx Power Level 7 .......................... 2 dBm
Tx Power Configuration .................... AUTOMATIC
Current Tx Power Level .................... 1
Tx Power Assigned By ...................... DTPC
I have checked the power levels set on the RF profile " RF Profile A " for the group and under RRM I can see max level power level assignment is 30 and minimum power level assignment is 15 under TPC .
a) Presumably the max power level is set incorrectly for GB on TPC ? ( should country code setting not automatically change this to max of 23 when you initially set up the controller ? )
b) how come the max power level on the AP is 23 and not 18 if my country code is GB ?
