Hi,

I need to know the difference between power options for Cisco 1852I

  • AIR-PWRINJ6=
  • AIR-PWR-C=

Which one is better and why ?

Regards,

Farhan.

Hi Farhan,

As far as AP functionality is concerned, there are no advantages/disadvantages to using either one. Both provide full power to the AP.

AIR-PWRINJ6= -> An injector supplies power through the network cable to a device that is POE capable.

AIR-PWR-C= -> An adapter is just something that lets you power a normal (non PoE) device.

AIR-PWR-C is a power brick.

AIR-PWR-C is a power brick.

AIR-PWRINJ6 is an injector.

Use the power brick if the power outlet is near where the AP is deployed.  Otherwise, use the injector.

Hi,

I was configuring on CCW and came to know that they both (Injector and Power Supply) require Power Cable to power up if I am correct.

Can you please clarify this ?

Please see the below link.

Yes both will need power cable.
