Prime Infrastructure 3.0 Convergence?

We are planning to convert to a PI to 3.0 system. The current version is 2.2. Just wanted to know if it is still possible to have two concurrent PI systems running against (1) pool of WLCs? This was possible years ago when changing from WCS to NCS. I wanted to be aware of any known issues with this ahead of time.
