Problem upgrading AIR-AP2802I

Hey everyone,

I'm having a problem with this AP.

At the moment it's running version 8.3.102.0 Mobility express and i want to upgrade it to version 8.5....

the problem is that with the current version on the AP there is no room to put the new version:

Filesystem Size    Used    Available Use% Mounted on
flash          57.5M 39.2M 15.3M      72%  /storage

normally this would be no problem as you can overwrite the previous version when using archive download-sw, but there is no /overwrite attribute to be found in the cli:

AP001#archive
download-sw Software Download commands

AP001#archive download-sw
/no-reload No-reload after loading
/reload Reload after loading

AP001#archive download-sw /reload
WORD TFTP transfer command

Does anybody know how to overwrite the previous version or just a way to get the 8.5 version on the AP?

Hi,

Its not easy but convert the AP to a CAP and then convert back to 8.5 Mobility Express.
