My machine refuses to get a valid ip address and when it does I am not able to do anything on the network. We are using 350 series access points and adapters with 128 bit WEP. I tried importing fresh profiles; creating them from scratch, different nic's but the same results. Do I have a faulty PCMCI socket? Any ideas?

Thinkpads have this somewhat quirky connection manager included with their default software. Could this be the issue?

Upgraded to latest firmware on adapter. Problem solved.
