QoS commands for Cisco WLAN

Based on the following links and information I need to confirm something:

https://community.cisco.com/t5/switching/service-policy-input-output-question/td-p/2780080

https://community.cisco.com/t5/other-wireless-mobility-subjects/cisco-qos-on-wlc-ports-connecting-to-switch/td-p/1618119

So I have a L2 switch and it has service policy map configured.

Trunk ports and Access ports have the following two lines:

 service-policy input markingpolicy
 service-policy output egress

show qos interface gi1/1
Operational Port Trust State: Trusted
Trust device: none
Default DSCP: 0 Default CoS: 0
Appliance trust: none

So is this all correct?  Because I have in the past utilized the "mls qos trust dscp" and "mls qos trust cos" under the switch ports.  Doesn't this config need trust commands under the ports or the way service policy is applied is sufficient for the following ports:

AP --> Switch (Flex Connect or CAPWAP) - (Trunk or Access)

Hosts --> Switch

What kind of switch are you using?

4507R+E, 3800 serious, 3560's.

The input policy will mark traffic on the switch. Modular QoS policy will use a policy-map and class-map, and it is applied with the service-policy command. If you already have it configured on the network for a specific purpose, I would keep it the same.
The 2504 is capable of advanced QoS comparatively. The best resource for that is Cisco Live On Demand learning.

Thank you so basically based on the following post I don't need to add the "mls qos" commands in addition to the service policy since it is already marking?

I have mls QoS configured on all switches in my environment. You should check to see the show command for your switch, it could be a show mls, show policy-map, or show platform. There should be a command to let you know it is enabled and a command to show you the marking. The marking command will show you the interface, and all of the packets it has marked.
Another way to verify that it is working is to do a wireshark capture and check to make sure that the packets are marked correctly per the policy.

Hey Ali,

Pls go through below Ciscolive presentation, it will be helpful for you to understand what you have to do with those switch platforms
