Re: Quarantine vlan in WLC

Hi,

I´m trying to configure a quarentine interface in WLC 5508, however, i want to use as quarantine vlan, a vlan that is already in use on other interface.

For exemple if anyone try to get on coorporative Vlan, after being refused, it should go to the guest vlan, and the SSID should change to that Guest network.

But each time I insert the vlan id in the quarantine, I receive the messagem "Vlan already in use in other interface".

Anyone knows how ca I solve this?

Probably can;t because the 'honest controller' describes the situation 'as is' and this is probably a limitation; whether this could be lifted can also depend on current controller software version being used. Check for more recent releases , if any, compare release notes, etc....

Is strange that I have to create a quarantine Vlan for this and routed to the guest network just for this.

It doesn´t make any sense.

If Cisco could answer to this with a reason for this to be like that I would be apreciated.
