Please any one can advise me why the bridge said that it works at 11Mbps but when we do a testing with 2 Aironet bridge AIR-BR350-E-K9 the maximum throughput I can get in the idea situation is 6.6 Mbps only. So what is the real throughput of Aironet system in bridge mode and Access point mode.

Theoratically 802..1b says you get 11mb but in practical considering OVERHEAD AND MULTIPATH REFLECTION ETC YOU GET <11MEG
Many factors contributes in throughput , RF interference , distance between source and target , Vendor implementation of software etc .
i would say you will get between 6-9-meg
in bridge type of antenna you use , length of coax cable and distance between
two bridges affect lot .
Throughput you get is between 1--11 meg depending on the condition

Could anyone please point out the normal throughput between an AP and
a PocketPC (iPAQ 38xx(200mhz)) with WLAN card? Both use 802.11b.
Thanks very much,

11Mbps is half duplex the same as 10baseT is 10Mbs half duplex.
This will mean that the effective throughput a client will see will be approx 6Mbs in the same way that the effective throughput of 10baseT is approx 5Mbs
Please note that this is also affected by the environment as per the other responses here.
