Recommend Steps Implementation on Wireless Access Point/ Wireless card

Hi,I am new on the board and was wondering if I can get some recommendation steps on implementing the hardware for wireless network like the Access Point and the Wireless card. Me and my school team is trying to built a wireless lan and if you guys can pls. let me know some of the things I should look into and remember of doing while installing the Access Point and the Wireless card. I would really appreciate your opinion and help..
