Roaming Problem with IntelCentrino

I have over 500 toshiba M1 Centrino laptop on my network and I have noticied that they almost all associate with APs on channel 1, even if they are righ beside a AP on another channel.

They are sticking on the channel 1 AP(s) until the signal is completely lost and they cant find another on the same channel.

Exemple: Right now, on 3 overlapping AP on channel 1,6 and 11.

Number of asso:

1 :21

6 :2(350 adapter)

11 : 1

All in the same cafeteria!

Do I have a configuration problem or is this a normal bug in the IntelPro2100 driver(version 1.0.21).

The client will associate to the first AP that sends the beacon. Try lowering the transmit levels on the APs that are on channel 1. This should take care of the association problem.
