Hi all,
I've some Cisco 1100 APs, and I managed to turn one of the APs to detect rogue APs. I did this buy changing the MIB field, station role, to Rogue AP detection. The problem is that I think the AP is not detecting anything. I tried to turn on some other vendor APs with different SSIDS and the AP doesn't send any SNMP traps regarding this issue. What I'm doing wrong?

The AP in itself can not determine what is a rogue AP. That determination is done by the WLSE. The AP simply captures RF information, passes to the WDS which then aggregates the data and sends the aggregated data up to the WLSE. The WLSE then compares RF info with known AP's.

Thanks for your answer.
I tried to mess with the MIBs in the APs. Because I don't have the WLSE. So I tried to simulate his behavior. I know that in the GUI of AP in the SNMP section there's a send Rogue AP traps. I turned this ON, but I couldn't get any traps at all. IS it possible to do this or to simulate the behavior of the WLSE?
