Hi all,

i've very poor knowledge about wireless environement, but i would know if it is possible to have this scenario in point-to-multipoint configuration;

1) 1200 device configured as root bridge and AP for clients

2) some 1200 devices cofigured as NON root bridge and AP for clients

Is this possible??

Any help will be appreciate,

thanks

Matt

1200s are access points. They dont have bridging capabilities. You will need a 1300 bridge for this if you desire 2.4ghz 802.11b/802.11g bridging or a 1400 bridge if you desire 5.8 ghz 802.11a bridging.

A site survey to determine line of sight, distance between buildings, appropriate antenna to use etc is a must. You can download the Outdoor bridge range calc. utility and find out the accurate heights to mount antenna, and also determine the rate you will get across the bridge link (you will need to input distance between buildings, type of terrain etc)
