I have a remote site that would like to add wireless access. They do not have a domain controller or DHCP, everything is set statically (but on a separate subnet). There is only 1 PC and 2 laptops.
If I pre-configure an 1131AP with the controller information and a static IP address, will this work? Would it be better to just give them an autonomous AP?

Yes, if you prime the AP locally, then send it to the site, it should work just fine. How this sounds, I would go with HREAP for that AP though. As this is a very small site, you could do IOS as well. IMHO I'd go IOS for this setup.

Thanks, I'll give it a try with HREAP. For managability I'd rather have it tied into the controller rather than using IOS.
