I need to survey a new building for wireless. Actually it's an old nursing home.
In the old days I would setup an IOS AP as a DHCP server on a telescoping pole mounted to a cart.
Can I convert an AIR-LAP to IOS and do something similar?
How do you all do surveys for LWAPs?
Thanks!

Yes you can convert the AP to lightweight and vice versa:
Using a TFTP Server to Return to a Previous Release

Great! Thanks!
I know I can go from IOS to LWAP but I wasn't sure if there is a restriction on converting an AP purchased as LAP to IOS.

You just need to make sure your CCO has entitlement to download the image... you should be able to keep both image on the AP and then just switch the boot parameter of the AP.

Scott
