Some android endpoint cannot authenticate to wlan network

Hello,

I setted up a new wifi network with 7 cisco ap 9115AX, and an embedded wireless controller. It seems to work correctly for laptop but some android devices cannot connect to the wifi. When I select the SSID on the Android phone I enter the secret key, it try to connect and fail (I think, it fail before dhcp process).

I don't know how to troubleshoot this problem. I don't know how to see 802.11 logging. When I try to establish a SSH connection on a specific AP with putty, the terminal remains empty without error message.

EWC/AP version : 16.12.04a

WLAN's security : WPA2 PSK AES

I am a begginer in wireless technologies, please can you help me?

Thanks a lot

J.

Try to adapt your configuration to this on the WLAN:

wlan <Your_WLAN_Profile> <WLAN_Id> <SSID>
no device-analytics
security ft
security wpa akm ft psk

Hello Marce,

I don't have any authentication server, it is a simple WPA2 PSK/AES layer2 security.

It is very embarrassing, what can I do to solve this problem? The wlan network must work with all devices... I must not configure an open SSID

I don't have Cisco Aironet 1850 series but catalyst 9100

Try to adapt your configuration to this on the WLAN:

wlan <Your_WLAN_Profile> <WLAN_Id> <SSID>
no device-analytics
security ft
security wpa akm ft psk

Thanks Jesus, you are a god

Have a nice day

Okay Torken,

and did it help you ?
