Spectrum Expert using 15.2(2) on Aironet 3600

After trolling the interweb for some time, it seems that it's possible using a 3600 ap and Spectrum Expert together to do wireless surveys. Has anyone done this successfully? How is this possible without a NSI key? Excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject, as I'm very green to wireless. But I have situations where'd like like to get pre-reading of the RF interference before the install. Rather than pay someone to do so.

Anyone have experience or a good link to read up from? Or am I just missing something on the CSC?

Hello kevintruex100,

I do have the NSI Key when using Cisco 3600 AP.

If your AP is in standalone mode, go to Network > Network Interface and select the radio interface (Radio0-802.11N 2.4GHz or Radio0-802.11N 5GHz. After that select Settings and than Spectrum.

This will do the AP work as a Spectrum Analyzer.

Click on Spectrum Information and you got the NSI Key.

Regards.
