Splash Page

Hi,

I have a site that login using their splash page, but when they move to another area the connection drops and they need to login again. Is this a SSID or roaming issue?

Thanks

Without more info/details about your setup it's hard to speculate.

You can also use the SEARCH at the top of the Meraki Community and search by splash re-login to see if others have (had) similar issues and what resolution actions were suggested.

How far apart are your APs? Close enough for a device to roam from one AP to another? Or too far from AP to AP where they are dropped? Has a wireless site survey been done (which might shed some insight)?

Thanks for the information, but the issue is not with the splash page, authentication works fine, the issue is when a user moves to another AP, connection drops and they need to login again.

Are the APs management interfaces in the same VLAN (they broadcast data about roaming movements to each other)?

Another thing you can try - disable MAC address randomisation on the client and see if that makes any difference.

Are you using the built-in Meraki splash page or from an external portal? Do you have the same VLAN for that SSID? What authentication server are you using?
