SSID disappears and after some seconds it appears again

I'm having the following problem, ssid disappears from time to time, the client disconnects and after a few seconds the ssid appears again, it happens continuously. I think that can be a problem with rogue APs or some interference, has anyone ever had a similar case?

I don’t think radar detection will make the AP disassociate from the controller. Radar will cause the radio to shut down and scan for another channel. To me it’s something either on the network or it’s a code issue. Maybe a diagram of where these AP’s are placed and like you mentioned what mode, local or FlexConnect, these AP’s are on.
Try to isolate the issue as much as possible.

Hi Scott,

All ADM APs is in Local mode and conneceted in same switch of the WLC.

I'm starting to distrust that is a issue with the code.

I opened a case with Cisco TAC, let's see what they say.

Hi Mateus,

I would start with checking if the issue is being seen on all the APs ? on APs in a particular floor/area ? Only on a single AP ?

Let's first check if the AP/s is losing connection to the WLC frequently. Please check the AP association time on the WLC after this issue occurs. The AP might be getting dissociated frequently which may be causing the SSID to disappear.

If that's not the case , it MAY be a case of rogue interference or in the worst case containment. But those investigations will come next.

Cheers,

Manish
