hello
On a wlc 5500 the ssid key is stored in ASCII format so on a windows 7 PC the wireless key is stored in which format?
possible to copy the windows 7 PC key directly to the wlc ssid key incase of mistakenly changed the key in controller

In Windows 7 is will show the ASCII and that you can cut and paste. Just click in show in windows 7 and it will show you the pre shared key.

once I cut / copy the key from Windows 7 PC and paste on the controller it gives me error too long key. i am pasting it under section 'Security' / Layer2 / PSK Format - ASCII
The key is 69 character in Windows 7

WPA preshared keys must contain 8 to 63 ASCII text characters or 64 hexadecimal characters.
