Is the native vlan of the switchport 234? Then leave the vlan field empty

This happens when the AP is not able to talk to the Meraki cloud using the configured static IP. It falls back to DHCP and tries that instead.

ps. I can't think of a reason why you would both to give APs a static IP address. Why are you doing that?

From the meraki guide I was using they recommend using a static IP address besides we want to have one constant IP address rather than the changing DHCP address

Why do you wsnt one constant IP address? Why does that matter?

For monitoring systems like PRTG or Zabbix you are better to use static IP addresses.

PRTG has native Meraki API monitoring support ...

Yip and it's not great. Licensing API doesn't work with PDL either.

If you want the APs to retain the same IP, it is a good idea to use fixed DHCP addresses. That way when you replace an AP you can just update the DHCP fixed IP
