I have connected the boxes through port 3 (PoE) of the controller.
The green light blinks on the AP. The 2 boxes are directly connected!
But on the controller :

1832 AP require minimum SW version on WLC is 8.2.122.0
Check the compatibility matrix:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html
Upgrade the WLC sw and try again.

Product Version.................................. 7.6.130.0
AP won't join because the firmware of the controller is not compatible with the AP. Use 8.2.151.0 and the AP should be able to join after the reboot.

NTP is not configured. It is highly recommended that the controller's time and date by sychronized in order for the AP to join. The AP won't join if the WLC has the wrong time and date.

paste the output of these commands:
sh sysinfo from WLC
sh version form AP
Also paste the bootup process from console access of AP.

hi!
thanks for the answer. But I do not think it is a matter of compatibility...!
(I am CCNP R&S and Security)...I would look more in the configuration of both nodes I have done...I am 99% sure I am just missing something here! :)

I cannot find any document telling me how to add a port to the WLAN Controller config (in CLI)....There is for sure something wrong there since a "show interface summ" only gives me port 1 where port 3 in the port carrying the AP!
Help!
