Timeline feature request

I would love to have the ability to be able to export a wifi users timeline for trouble shooting purposes, usually when I am problem solving I like to be able to collect logs, packet capture and screenshots. While I could screenshot the timeline page it becomes an issue if the user moves around a lot.

Good idea, having an exportable timeline would definitely make troubleshooting roaming users much easier. For now, the closest workaround is usually pulling the client & session logs via the controller or cloud dashboard export or API, and correlating them with syslog or packet capture on your side. Some platforms also let you export event logs which indirectly rebuild the timeline. Worth raising as a feature request though, it’s a solid use case for support workflows.

This would also allow you to import the timeline into an AI, and with things like Windows event logs, for much greater analysis capabilities.

This is a great idea.

I really like that idea! Let's hope that someone important enough listens ...

Sorry to burst the bubble folks but nobody is going to act on a feature request made here, no matter how much we all agree.  That's not how it works...

Presuming you're referring to Meraki dashboard (remember this board now covers all Cisco Wireless products including Catalyst Wireless) then option number 1 is the Feedback option on the dashboard (replaced wish list).  If enough people ask for something they'll start thinking about whether to implement it, or not.

Option 2 is a formal enhancement request raised by your Cisco account team with a supporting business case which gets evaluated by the BU.
