Our customer has a WISM, 1142 APs and 1252 APs and need to troubleshoot periodic client connectivity issues in certain locations. Can the WISM aid in this (if so, how--i.e. reports?) or is WCS absolutely required for this purpose?

1. How many client(s)? Some or all?
2. What clients? PDA, Laptop, Smartphones?
3. What error messages do you get on the WiSM and clients?
4. What firmware are the WiSM(s) running?
5. Are the drivers of the clients up-to-date?

1. Not sure.
2. This is a school so the clients would be laptops from students and faculty.
3. Not sure.
4. Most likely <6.0
5. Miscellaneous clients so not sure.
There are plenty of variables but for now they just want to know if the WISM can provide archived technical detail about client connectivity in a particular area (i.e. clients connected to a particular AP).

Ive used WCS in the past. You can get 30 days worth of client data. If you dont have WCS, you can get a 30 day free demo to use for your troubleshooting effort.
