We have Wireless Controller AIR-WLC2112, and AP AIR-LAP1142N
My company Drirector is playing RISK game on his I-PAD2 multiplayer both connecting to same AP (host on one ipad2 and join from other)
for some reason its not working, have tried on other AP like Linksys AP etc,
browsing and every thing work fine. please advice any setting that can be changed on controller to make this work.
Note: when we hoste game its keep saying waiting for player to connect .

Hi Mubasher,
have a look at the option P2P Blocking Action in your SSID Configuration.
In GUI
WLANs > Edit -> Advanced -> "P2P Blocking Action"
maybe there is your configuration issue.
regards,
Simon

Hi Mubasher,
no you dont have to reboot your controller in this case.
Normaly if there is NOT configured "block" it should work.
So the default value should be "disable".
Disabled—Disables peer-to-peer blocking and bridges traffic locally within the controller whenever possible. This is the default value.
Forward-UpStream—Causes the packets to be forwarded on the upstream VLAN. The device above the controller decides what action to take regarding the packets.
Sry. I have no idea at the moment why this doesn't work.
Bad, that you cant install a wireshark on your iPad and trace what happens ;-)
Good luck
and regards,
Simon

You can try Downloading or updating RISK Global Domination takes a long time because the file can't be loaded or the download won't begin. They then attempt to reinstall RISK: Global Domination, but this also fails to produce any result. A number of people will next attempt to test the internet connection. While the WLAN indicates that it's fully operational, it still doesn't work or works very slowly.
Moreover you can try playing some other games like Payback 2, Gta Vice City, Call of Duty Mobile and many others. If you still facing the issue, then make sure to tell us via this thread.

It seems like the issue lies with the P2P Blocking Action settings or a potential compatibility challenge between the wireless controller and the multiplayer game hosting mechanism on RISK. Here’s a systematic approach to resolve the problem:
Verify P2P Blocking Settings:
As Simon suggested, ensure that P2P Blocking is set to Disabled in the SSID configuration. This setting allows peer-to-peer communication necessary for multiplayer connectivity.
Multicast/Broadcast Support:
Some multiplayer games require multicast or broadcast packets to locate other players on the network. Check your controller settings to ensure that multicast and broadcast packets are not being blocked or dropped.
Network Isolation Settings:
Verify if there is any form of client isolation enabled. This feature prevents devices connected to the same AP from communicating directly. If enabled, disable it temporarily for testing.
Game-Specific Ports:
Multiplayer games often rely on specific ports. Confirm with the RISK game documentation if there are port requirements and ensure these ports are not blocked by your network firewall or controller.
Wireshark Analysis:
While installing Wireshark on the iPad isn't feasible, you can capture network packets using the controller's built-in debug tools or by mirroring traffic to a laptop running Wireshark. Look for failed connection attempts between the two iPads.
Test with a Different SSID:
Create a test SSID with minimal restrictions (disable advanced settings like P2P Blocking, Client Isolation, etc.) and attempt to host/join the game. This will help isolate whether the issue is configuration-specific.
If the problem persists, consider testing the game on another device or network to rule out app-specific issues. Let us know the results so we can further troubleshoot bitslifeapk.com!
