Unable to remove Login Credentials from Global config mode Cisco WLC 8.3

Hi All ,

I had enabled SSH at Wireless -> Global Config mode followed by doing the required changes at the required AP's.I did to create a global Username/password and then allow SSH only on those AP's that I wanted .

Post Troubleshooting I observe that the credentials are just not going from the screen , screenshot attached .I tried back space - apply , but that did not work

ssh.PNG

Tried everything possible , have been searching online from the past few hours but no luck .

Can anyone pls assist me on how to get the login credentials tab back to the default one i.e Blank . It should not show the username nor the "dots" in password column .

Thanks !!

Ah sorry, was in the wrong screen. I've set for all AP a username/pw, which I think can't be removed (on the web gui) once it's set. It doesn't really matter though, as long as SSH is disabled, the username/pw doesn't work anyway.

I had this too. I know it can be solved with Prime, but that's not what you should do.
I think if you disable SSH access, save and then you can remove those entries if they aren't empty automatically.

Hi Patoberli

You mean to remove the check , under Wireless ?

I did that , the issue still remains ..If Prime is an option ..pls do suggest

Thank you

Hi Patoberli ,

Thank you . One last query . Will I be able to overwrite the current password ?

Thank you

Ed

Absolutely, just write the new one into both fields and click Apply and then Save Configuration.

Thank you Patoberli ..
