hi, i'd like to know if the AP's o.s. can be updated, i have a Cisco 1200 Series AP 12.01T1, if it can, what is the process and what do i need to do it.

Yes, it can.
Two ways:
From the CLI, you can enter the
'archive /force reboot /overwrite \\tftp:
(no <> and substitute the address of your tftp server ... specify the .tar file and the AP will dissect the file and put the files in the right directory)
It is recommended that you shut down your radio(s) ... there have been problems in the past with updating with the radios on and causing a corrupt image.
Your other option is to use the web GUI|system software screen. You keep the new IOS image file on the machine you are browsing from, point to the file and click "update"
It is still recommended you shut down the radios whlie you're updating the image.
