upgrade IOS catalyst 9800 L-C wlc

I need to update the IOS version of the Catalyst 9800 L-C, at this moment it has this version: Cisco IOS XE Software, Version 17.06.05
Cisco IOS Software Bengaluru, C9800 Software C9800_IOSXE-K9, Version 17.6.5, RELEASE SOFTWARE fc2. I need to install version 17.12.4, is it recommended to follow each of the versions until reaching 17.12.4? Thank you very much.

You can check "Upgrade Path to Cisco IOS XE Dublin 17.12.x" on the following link. From your version to 17.12.x is direct.

Its direct upgrade to 17.12.4. Also, make sure to read "Before You Upgrade" section from release notes.

Direct upgrade is fine.  

If there is no DNAC, make sure to turn off NMSP (CSCwi78109 & CSCwj93876).

 What model of APs are connected to the controller?   Make sure to check each APSP to make sure the bugs are not in effect.
