Upgrade WLC 5508

Hi

I would like upgrade our WLC 5508 (Field Recovery Image Version 6.0.182.0 & Software version 7.2.110.0) to a compatible latest version which can support APs ranges from AIR-LAP1252AG-N-K9,  AIR-CAP3602E-N-K9 and AIR-CAP3702I-Z-K9. I have consulted with Cisco compatibility matrix (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html) but not sure what is the sequence of upgrade and what latest version of software can be used. Thanks for your help in advance.

Upgrade to the latest 7.6.X and this will support all your APs. 

Make sure you upgrade the FUS code.

Thanks Leo for your quick reply! Can I upgrade directly to 7.6.X or I have to upgrade in a sequential manner? What version of FUS should I upgrade to?

You should be able to go straight to whatever version you want.

What version of FUS should I upgrade to?

Whatever the latest is.  FUS upgrade will take about 20 minutes.  So don't get concerned.

Upgrade to Cisco WLC Software Release 7.6.110.0

Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) software version 7.6.110.0 is being deferred due to the following issue :

CSCul43158 - Random mobile disassociation with PEM unknown time-out.

CSCuo35247 - LAP unable to setup DTLS with WLC if packets arrive out of order.

CSCup22587 - Multiple vulnerabilities in OpenSSL.
