Hello, getting ready to upgrade 3 WLC-9800s that are standalone and not in HA configuration for the WLCs themselves. However, they do have access point HA configured on the access points. I have not found any documentation that mentions this. Is this a concern at all? will the APs not try to flip over to another WLC when the primary goes down for reboot or will they reassociate and get upgraded when the primary that is set for them comes back up? Also does this continue to work if the WLCs are not on the same version? Thanks!

If your controllers are N+1 where you don't have SSO, You can use the GUI it's pretty easy.

Try out the Hitless Upgrade. It is one feature WNBU do not want/like to talk about in Cisco Live but it is very effective.

It is one of their best features:) No more pre-download yourself, moving them manually and moving them back:)

It is.
We've done numerous Hitless Upgrade (2800 x APs) to a medical facility and nobody knew we have done it.
I have spoken to several people in WNBU and asked them why no one wanted to talk about it in CL and they all looked at me as if was a completely "off my meds".
