Hi there,
can you help me to tell which username and password that can be used to telnet a joined access point? is it the default username n password or username from local management user? i haven't put any username n password to that access point.

There is no 'default' per se. You would configure it globally for the AP, or on a per AP basis. And you need to go in and enable telnet/ssh to the AP.
And on that note, why are you looking to go to the AP directly if it's managed by the WLC?

yes all configurabel from the WLC. Wireless > Access Points > Global Configuration
but you'd have to get into it quick and do a debug capwap client no-reload so that it doesn't reboot when it can't find/join the WLC.

Hi Steve,
it's just crossed in my mind that if the AP have lost connection to WLC, i don't need to put a console on it.
can i set that username on WLC?
thanks for your response by the way

Can you setup TACACS access? I currently have the APs set to SSH but it is a common username / password.
