Using Telnet When adding WLC to Prime Infr

Why do I see documentation that recommends using Telnet rather than SSH2 when configuring a template to add a 2504 WLC to Prime Infrastructure?

Not too sure, but if SSH works, I would use that.

This template is to communications between the WLC and Prime Infr. What is the advantage of using SSH over Telnet or the reverse Telnet over SSH?
