WAP Compatibility

Hi,

 

I have a query regarding Access Point compatibility, i have been advised to buy the CISCO AIR SAP 26021-EK9 and i am wondering if this will work injunction with my current hardware:

 

CISCO AIR AP114N-EK9

CISCO AIR AP113AG-EK9

Hi Paul,

Yes, those AP model can be in the same network.

 

Are these managed by a WLC ? If that is the case, below compatibility matrix will be useful

If those are in autonomous mode, then make sure all of them have identical configuration. 1142 & 2602 are 802.11n capable AP & 1131 is not. Also these AP may have different Tx/Rx antenna & different Rx sensitivity level. So performance would be different & cell size also would be increased if AP have better Rx sensitivity. Refer these AP data sheets for more detail.

If these 3 different model will be in closer geographical area, when it comes to roam some time client tend to stick to non 802.11n AP, so better to have similar model AP in close areas if client could roam one AP to another.
