AP MODEL: CW9164I
Power Source: PoE 802.3at
The AP initially negotiates only 16W power from the switch and whenever the AP demands its regular 802.2at power - the switchport marks it as "PoE overload" and the AP powers off.
It keeps disrupting the user's connection as it is intermittent and goes on and off every now and then.
Is there a solution to this issue?
We tried moving the APs to a different port and downgrading the Switch firmware to 16.7 but issue is still on going.

Are you using the USB port on the AP?

Hey Charles,
I have the same behavior since last week on one site.
We have two CW9166 (MR30.7) connected to a MS225-48LP (MS 16.8.)
There are no other PoE devices connected to the switch besides the two APs.
We had two MR42s before and upgraded them to CW9166s end of July. They have been working fine until last week.
I have a ticket open with Meraki regarding this already, they suggested to check the cabling first.

3 hours ago we dismounted both APs from the ceiling and patched them up directly to the Switch. So far they are both running fine, however there are not so many people in the office today, so the APs are not really busy.
It possible that the cable going to the ceiling has a wonky connector crimped on, creating additional resistance and adding few Wats in loss to the total sum for which the AP didn't account for when negotiating power from the switch. It's a stretch, but possible..
I will monitor the situation and post an update during the week.

Status update after almost a week.
The APs still operate fine when connected directly to the switch.
We will have the wall cabling checked and re-crimped.
