WAP4400n

I have a WAP4400N which has a MAC sticker with MAC address 001839115B74, but when the device is queried with Linksys Easylink Advisor version 3.11 build 9139-94 (11.1.9051.0) the MAC address is 001839115B75.  Why the difference?  This is the only WAP4400N on my local network.

Hi Doug,

Those APs come usually with more one MAC address on sequence. one of the addresses is used for WAN port, one for LAN ports and one for wireless. If you have a dual band AP you may have one address for each radio.

It will probably depends on where are you querying the AP from: WAN port or LAN? (not necessarily to be correct. but I never worked with the linksys tool you mentioned to be sure).

Usually the mac address on the sticker is the LAN mac address.

I think you don't have to worry because it seems both mac addresses you mentioned belong to the same device in a way or another.
