WCS & Client Identification

Hello all,

WCS is capable of determining the "vendor" of a client , based on MAC address.

1) Can i view the MAC-to-vendor mappings that WCS is using for this ?

2) Can i add a new MAC OUI to this database ?

Here you go:

1. WCSInstallDir\webnms\conf\vendorMacs.xml

2. Yes but it is updated from

http://standards.ieee.org/develop/regauth/oui/oui.txt with each update of WCS.

It can get out of date.  Recently I saw a new apple OUI that needed to be added.
