Hi
Just purchased a 3355 and installed, followed the set up no problems, added to WCS.
Then WCS says no longer able to be reached.
Unable to ping, have to keep running the setup./opt/mse/setup/setup.sh seems, like the settings are not being kept.
Tried /opt/mse/setup/setup.log and sasys I have no permission, this is when logged in as root.
Any help appreciated, we've supposedly got support on it, but trying to track down who with.
cheers in advance.

Hi Craig,
just to make sure as you didn't provide the whole command or an CLI output - have you used "more" to check the log.....
[root@MSE /]# more /opt/mse/setup/setup.log
....as without it you'll get the permission denied message......
[root@MSE /]# /opt/mse/setup/setup.log
-bash: /opt/mse/setup/setup.log: Permission denied
[root@MSE /]#

Please make sure that eth0 is up and have ip address after the initial setup by running the following command:
ifconfig
Also make sure that eth0 is the one that is connected to your network and its ip address is the one added on WCS cause it is the interface that is used for communication between the MSE and WCS.
Check the following link it should be helpful to physically locate correct interfaces:

Hi
Thanks for the command. It proved the MSE isn't keeping it static IP.
Is been reported back now to Cisco as DOE.
cheers
