Hi All
Does anyone know if web passthrough works with a proxy server?
I've a horrible feeling that a re-drirect is still required to get the splash page and therefore DNS is still required. If this is the case then passthrough won't work with a proxy any differently that web auth.
Any thoughts welcome.

Hi Roger,
as per https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-13954
you should be able to have it working if the clients have a proxy exception for 1.1.1.1, i.e. their browser is set to not contact the proxy for that ip.
You also need to have DNS working for the client (which is not mandatory when having proxy).
It's also supposing that you are using 1.1.1.1 as virtual ip interface.

This doesn't really address the issue of web pass-through.
Also, configuring a local bypass (proxy exception) for each guest client is far from ideal. Even having to configure proxy settings for each guest client is never going to be acceptable for the majority of customers.
The use of WCCP may be a viable solution to the problem.
Thanks anyway.
