Webauth without a WCS - is it possible?

I am trying to determine if I need a WCS in order to perform Web Authentication or if I can do this with the WLC exclusively. And if the WCS is not necessary, do I need to have an external web server or can the WLC host the web page?

I think you can. Please refer to Chapter 9 in the Wireless LAN Controller Configuration Guide. The "Web Authentication Process" section explains the process step-by-step.

If you have WCS you can spread web authentication settings across multiple controllers. I don't think WCS performs any authentication of the guest user per se.
