WGB / Bridge Mode with 2802i or any other Cisco AP

Hello together,

i am currently struggling really hard to get a AP2802i to run as a Bridge / WGB Mode.

I have the CAPWAP Version and the Bridge-mode should be available, but its NOT.

When i try to change to mode from "local" to "bridge" i get this Message: "This AP model does not support Bridge Mode 2"

I've also tried it with the Mobility Express Image, but also there was no bridge mode available what so ever.

I am asking now if it is even possible to get a 2802i running in Bridge-mode or do i need a different Device?

We currently have the 2602i-SAP in use and have to change it because of the EOL Status.

Best regards,

Chimmy

If you have a capwap version you also need a WLC. This guide explains bridge and workgroup bridge design, requirements and configuration. Also explains what devices support WGB and what code.
