Why user cannot ping gateway if wlc is installed at ESXi?

Hi There are two situations. vWLC is installed at vmware workstation. After user can get ip address from dhcp server, the user can ping its gateway, However, when the vWLC installed at ESXi the user can still get ip address, but the user cannot ping its gateway. The management interface always is untagged. Its same AP, same user and same dhcp server for the two vWLC. Any solution? Thank you
