I just have a question about installation your Access Points - c9130axi-e
How much will the signal of the Wi-Fi point deteriorate if we place it behind a 20mm or 6mm thick marble (we have 2 options for placement)

Dont matter the material, neven hide the access point and or the antenna. If you are using external antenna that allow you to put the AP away, that´s fine, you can hide the AP but you need to keep the antenna facing your clients or you are going to have problem.
Marble must be almost in the same category of concrete and glass for signal blocking.

of course I understand your recommendation, but we couldn't change positions of APs,
So my question is about How much will the signal deteriorate in percentage?
Chat gpt says:
that deterioration will be 30-50% for 5 GHz behind 20mm of marble.

Man, I got your point since the begenning. What I am saying is, do not even negotiate it, unless you are the architect and not the tech guy. If you are the tech guy do not negotiate. Antenna needs to be facing user, no deal; Forget about this calculation that this material degradate 10% and that one 50%, when your users start screaming at you saying that their network is sucks, you can not ask to Chat GPT what you must to do.
Design your wireless network as it should and suffer a little bit less in the future.
