Windows 10 drops the connection when moving between different WLC's.

There is a strange problem with our Windows 10 laptops in our environment. Windows 10 laptops will drop the connection when it moves from an AP in one WLC to another. If I move between AP's in the same WLC's it work with no issues. We have 802.1X setup with ISE as the authentication servers. This issue is only seen in the Windows 10 devices all other devices work fine. We are currently running 8.5.140 on 5508. I checked the DHCP servers on both the WLC's and they are same.

Any thoughts?

Hi mate,

It seems possible issue of layer 3 roaming.

Do you have Fast Roaming enabled?

Check if mobility configuration on that SSID is supports layer 3.

It would be a good indication if you run a "Debug client <mac address>" as it will show you if the process was reassociation or reauthentication.

This would be a good reference.
