Wireless address flapping

I have a Cisco 4506 linked to 3 3550 switches. The 3550s run 14 Cisco 1200 APs. The mobile devices are Symbol RF barcode scanners. On the 4506, I get log messages like this:

May 31 11:17:03: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 00:A0:F8:61:0F:EA in vlan 28 is f

lapping between port Gi4/2 and port Gi4/1

May 31 14:52:41: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 00:A0:F8:61:10:83 in vlan 28 is f

lapping between port Gi4/3 and port Gi4/2

May 31 23:09:10: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 00:A0:F8:61:0F:EA in vlan 28 is f

lapping between port Gi4/1 and port Gi4/2

Jun 1 06:57:25: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 00:A0:F8:61:0F:EA in vlan 28 is f

lapping between port Gi4/1 and port Gi4/2

I realize that this is generated by roaming from one AP to another, but is there a setting anywhere that would keep these messages from being generated?

Thanks!

Had the same issue, try :

1. turning up the refresh rate on the VTP master (Spanning-Tree)

2. directional antennas on the APs to try and segregate the RF units

3. Turn down the radio sensitivity on some of the APs if they are adjacent

I managed to reduce the messages but still see some a;though the number is greatly reduced.
