Hi, have following setup:

1 x WLC, 350 base-ap-count licenses

1 x WCS, 350 base licenses

I would like to take advantages of other features available in WCS Plus licence level (high-availability, context tracking, etc). WCS is on single server.

If i want to have WCS with 500 plus licences do i need to upgrade:

1. WLC licenses to 500 base-ap-count and

2. WCS to 500 plus

OR

just upgrade WCS to 500 plus licenses.

WLC/WCS are independent.

So if you want to prepare WCS for the future, you can have it licensed for 500 aps while the WLC stills stays for 350 aps. Maybe you would buy a 2nd wlc for 150 aps and then you manage the 500s with wcs.

Your WCS would need a 350 PLUS-UPG license. That would upgrade your 350 ap count to PLUS.
