I have two Cisco 340 bridges approx. 1 mile apart. They is a quite a few hydro towers between the two bridges and sometimes the link breaks between the two devices. I'd like to test the EMI and noise between the two bridges. Does anyone know what type of software or equipment I need to do this? Both bridges are using a Yagi antenna.
Thanks in advance.

Are the towers falling in the fresnel zone between the two bridges ? If yes, your break could be due this interference from the hydro towers blocking LoS. I believe a spectrometer would be the best tool to check EMI and noise. You could also use tools such as Netstumbler or Airmagnet to see the SNR.

The distance between the two bridges are approx. 3 miles. I was thinking also that there may be frequency interference at the 2.4Ghz level. So perhaps, replacing the bridges with 1410s may solve this problem. However, I still need to find evidence to say it's this or that.
Thanks for giving me some ideas to follow up on.
