Wireless clients are getting invalid ip address in 5520 Controller.

Hi,

Wireless client are not getting valid ip address. AP is setup as controller(5520) based. Some clients are able to get ip address but some others clinets are getting invalid with fe80::d182:c571:a184:ed6b IP address or it show 0.0.0.0. Getting these errors:

We are using IPv4 only,not using IPv6.

Kindly help me.

If you are not using IPV6 then disable it on WLC by using the command:

config ipv6 disable 

also check.

did you configure dthe DHCP server IP on dynamic interface correctly ?

client is getting IP from mgmt interface subnet or any other layer 3 subnet ?

IPv6 disabled. Dynamic interface gave correct vlan id, IP, netmask, gateway and dhcp server ip. who are getting the ip address they are getting correct subnet ip. DHCP scope is not full, free ip is there but some off the client are getting invalid ip.

please also check...

Under WLAN > Advanced tab, have you ticked "DHCP Address Assignment" option ? If not try to tick that and see.

There is no option under WLAN>Advanced tab "DCHP Address Assignmet option. but DHCP Option 82 is ther in dynamic interface. it is not enable.

what about DHCP proxy:

CONTROLLER > Advanced > DHCP.
