Hello!

We are trying to deploy a new WLC-5508 with HA

But we are keep on failing to make a redundacy for both controllers

This is the sysinfo for the primary

PRIMARY WLC.png

Secondary

SECONDARY WLC.png

It might be the product version problem?

Please let me know , and if theres any chance we can make this redundant.

Thank you

1. Secondary unit has "0" AP license. For HA to work, it requires 50 AP license.
2. The Primary is running 7.4.X.X. I'd recommend upgrading to something more recent.

Hi

The information you attached did show up, can you add again.

Keep in mind that if you dont have an HA -SKU hardware, then, you need at least 50 AP license.

You need to have the same software version as well.

The secondary unit is AIR-CT5508-HA-K9 so its available for redundacy right?

and is it possible to downgrade it to 7.4.121.0 to be compatible with the first unit?

No, the secondary requires, a minimum of, 50 AP license (currently, it has "0").
Yes, you can downgrade the secondary to 7.4.X.X, enable HA, and then upgrade to a more recent version.

That's strange because we been using an HA unit for awhile now for redundancy without any additional license except for the first unit with 25/50/100 license on it.

Owell ill let you be updated on it once we downgrade the second unit.

Thank you so much
