Wireless Issue

Hi,

I have a strange wireless problem and need inputs to solve it.

I have two laptops associated with one Access Point. But there are drops from one laptop as against other. I am making a ping to an external IP and apparently one laptop has solid response whereas other laptop has series of icmp drops. The laptop where drops are observed hardly has NO video streaming or high bandwidth consiming activity happening.

Can someon pl. suggest how to go about the issue ?

Regards,

AM.

1) are they same model?

2) have you updated the wireless card driver files?

3) are they getting a DHCP IP address or static?

4) are they sharing the same wireless channel?

If all the answer of questions asked by VB are Yes then remove the wireless card driver and reinstall it.

It seems that Wireless NIC on the laptop is malfunctioning.

Check for latest updates for Wireless NIC, if problem persists, the Wireless NIC would have to be replaced.
