- There where always be issues in the modern complex world if and or (...etc) , for instance you look at later releases , examine Release Notes and look at Resolved Caveats (e.g.) . In practice you take your current environment , and look at problems if any. Is there a specific new feature that you need? If not I would stick to suggested release or the newest from that release (17.3.x). If there is a feature that you need from 17.5, I would directly go to 17.6 which will be the next long-term release.
