Hi Team,

We have 2800i access points running in 8.5.x.x version, we are in a situation where users are connecting to wlan but randomly loosing the ip addresses and it results in no internet connection to the users.

Mostly users are connected from Laptops running with Win 10.

Since the issue is happening randomly and unable to find the fetch the right logs.

We ran the debug session but no relevant logs observed. Can someone please let me know if you ever encountered the similar issue in your environment and how it got resolved please.

Regards

KvkSai

                                   - For client debugging instruction go here :

              https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/aironet-1200-series/100260-wlc-debug-client.html

What is the controller model ? Suggest to look at these info's , check if an upgrade is applicable, if so I would advise it : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/wireless-lan-controller-software/200046-tac-recommended-aireos.html

Check eventvwr on Windows , look for network errors, if any

A checkup of the controller-configuration can be done with : https://cway.cisco.com/tools/WirelessAnalyzer/

Having the same issue. Do you happen to remember what resolved it for you?

What was the resolution here? We already updated laptop adapter driver. Only happening in 802.1x client

Not to OP, but our resolution was disabling windows from having power control over the wireless adapter.

Can you show me how did you make this changes in windows? Is it in control panel?

Open command prompt as an admin.

Type devmgmt.msc

Right click on the wireless adapter > Properties

The checkbox is under the Power Management tab. If you don't see a Power Management tab, there is a registry entry you'll need to add to bring it back.
